I see alot of the same IP addresses taking up several slots, why is there so many of the same IP?

There are a few different reasons this could happen.

  • Stream ripper (a "human" or "bot" that sits on your stream and records your music)
  • A stuck connection (Someone that may had some buffering issues on their end and are trying to reconnect multiple times)

Resolution: Kick the extra IP address to clear up some slots. If it continues, Ban the IP through the Shoutcast / Icecast Admin page.
