Audio Streaming Server costs a lot, the more listeners the more bandwidth consumed which means more money. In order to make our services free all the time, we are making a little profit on the ads used in our player. We survive for how many years using this method. On this tutorial we will be using a trial version of Samcast. You may download a free version and purchase anytime soon at SpacialAudio Website. Start Samcast  after installing and you will see this window below. The brand new standalone encoder formerly simple cast.

Now we will setup the encoders. Click on “Encoders” button. Now the new Encoder window will pop below.

To create a new encoder click on the plus sign (+) refer to the image above.

All AMFMPH Network users are required to use “aacPlus v2″. Now click OK.

Now on converter tab, as you can see the above image, this is the default settings for all broadcaster.

Now on the server details tab set the Icecast 2. On the left portion on the server details you will get this details after you sign up and approve in our network. you may register here to get your free Icecast 2 server. Some settings are self explanatory and no need to discuss. And lastly click OK.

Now your newly created encoder is on the encoder lists.

This is very important, click on the settings and the new window below will pop-up.

You may choose your desired sound card. When feeding your PC line in from the external source you need to set it to line in and a proper cable connector. This settings are mostly use when feeding your AM or FM radio tuner to your line in. Be careful before connecting your AM or FM tuner to your PC, it may damage your sound card if excessive amount of audio signal is feed. Set your tuner volume to a very low level before connecting.

After everything is hooked up and ready click on start button to start broadcasting.

Now as you can see the image above, our encoder is encoding. I hope you understand my simple tutorial. If you have any trouble starting your internet radio please contact us.

1. Reliable computer. Mac, Linux and Windows computer is recommended.
2. Broadband Internet connection.
3. Broadcasting software like Winamp, Sam broadcaster, otsDJ and much more.
4. Streaming server like Shoutcast server, Wowza Streaming Server, Icecast 2 (recommended) and many others.

1. Download and Install Sam Broadcaster.

For this tutorial we will be using Sam Broadcaster v4.9.4 free trial and you may download or purchase from Spacial Audio websites. Future version might differ from this tutorial.

2. Configure Sam Broadcaster (Click on image to fullscreen)

Start Sam Broadcaster and it will bring you this window.

Head on to Desktop B and it will bring you this window. See the image below and click on the image to fullscreen.

Now, under encoders click on the plus sign button and you will see this image below.

The encoder window will pop-up on the plugin selection click on “aacPlus v2″ and hit ok. AMFM Networks users are required to use aacPlus for broadcasting.

Now on Converter tab, set exactly what you see on the image above.

Now on the server details tab set the Icecast 2. You’ll now see the encoder you created is listed in the Encoders window. Click the black Play sign to start the encoder. Now you can see our encoder is encoding.
